Chelsea step up bid to lure Didier Drogba back to Stamford Bridge - reports

Chelsea have made an approach for their former favourite Didier Drogba, according to reports in Canada.
The Ivorian is considered one of the greatest players in the club's history following two spells at Stamford Bridge. He left Stamford Bridge in the summer to sign for Montreal Impact and was a big hit in his debut MLS season, scoring 12 goals in 12 games. But the Blues are now keen to tempt him back to the club, with interim boss Guus Hiddink keen for the 37-year-old to be his assistant.Montreal Impact took to Twitter to deny the persistent speculation over Drogba when they wrote: "The rumour about Didier Drogba is unfounded. There has been no contact with Impact or with the player about it."But, according to Canadian news outlet RDS, Chelsea have in fact been in touch with their former star, although the nature of the offer or the role was not specified.
