Jurgen Klopp confirms major injury boostfor Liverpool ahead of Leicester clash

The Liverpool defender was expected to be sidelined for a month with a knee injury sustained in a horror tackle from West Brom midfielder Craig Gardner. But he has recovered quicker than expected and should start against the Foxes with fellow centre-back Martin Skrtel out.

"Dejan Lovren is back in training and has trained two days in a row," Jurgen Klopp revealed at his pre-match press conference. "He’s available." Lovren needed five stitches in his knee following the tackle in the 2-2 draw against the Baggies earlier this month.
Klopp reacted furiously to the tackle and ended up in a touchline bust-up with Tony Pulis. Lovren has timed his return perfectly with Mamadou Sakho only just back from a knee injury while Skrtel is set for a lengthyspell on the sidelines. "Martin Skrtel is not too good," Klopp added. "It’s a hamstring, he needs time but we don’t know how long. "Simon Mignolet is back in training after missing the defeat at Watford, James Milner remains unavailable while Daniel Sturridge is undergoing a "little pre-season".
