Nemanja Matic: Chelsea are sad after Watford draw but we’ll be ready for Man

Diego Costa’s opener was canceled out by Troy Deeney’s penalty in an exciting first-half at Stamford Bridge. The Hornets’ Odion Ighalo then put the away side in front only for Costa to draw the thrilling clash level once again.

Chelsea had a golden chance to take all three points after being awarded a spot-kick of their own late on.But Brazilian playmaker Oscar slipped at the vital moment and skied his effort highover the bar, meaning Guus Hiddink had to settle for a point in his first game in charge.
Matic, whose handball led to Deeney’s goal, believes his team were unlucky on the day and said it was a bad result for the club. The midfielder is also wary of facing Manchester United on Monday night but insists his team will be ready for it.He toldSky Sports: "We wanted to win today."It’s not a good result for us, we are sad, we wanted three points."But this is football and you never know what will happen.

We had a penalty which we didn't score, we were unlucky. Oscar has to keep his head up because these things can happen. I’m sure he will score the next one."Manchester United [who Chelsea play onMonday] are always very difficult and in three days we are playing two games."We have to cope with that but we will be ready I am sure."
